Nashville is a beloved home to many, our very own Girls in Tech HQ included. As we come to terms with the tragedy that has unfolded within our community, we look to the many organizations and charities that support either the victims of the school shooting or initiatives that work to make our lives and the lives of our future families safer. If you can, please consider donating to or getting involved in any of the following, who are doing very important and essential work.

Victims First

VictimsFirst is a network of surviving victims and trusted supporters of mass casualty crime who have first-hand experiences. GoFundMe raises money for the victim’s families and those wounded and injured. The nonprofit organization gives 100% of the proceeds to the victims so they are protected from fraud and exploitation.

Community Foundation

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee established the Caring for Covenant Fund because of the outpouring of love from the community. All donations made to the Fund, minus credit card fees, will be directed to The Covenant School to support the healing of those affected by this tragedy.

Everytown for Gun Safety

Everytown for Gun Safety is the largest gun violence prevention organization in America and is a movement of nearly 10 million mayors, teachers, survivors, gun owners, students, and everyday Americans. Donating to this cause will support and push efforts for meaningful reform around gun legislation.

ViVE

ViVE, a healthcare conference from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and HLTH had gathered thousands of healthcare leaders from around the globe to attend an event just a few miles away from where the tragedy occurred. Now, ViVE, CHIME and HLTH have pledged to commit a combined $50,000 donation for the victims and their families, along with setting up this GoFundMe for further support. If you can, donate to the GoFundMe page.

Take care,

Girls in Tech.
