Are we killing personality with personalisation? Brand and performance marketing - and how to get the right balance for growth
Host: RMIT Online
Available: Virtual 1:45PM only
With so much access to personal data, behavioural metrics and analytics tools, brands are slowly regressing towards a mean of dehumanised personalisation. To the consumer, brands are starting to look, sound and feel the same. As algorithms relentlessly track our preference, feeds are becoming homogenous, streamlined, and well, kind of boring. And yet, the quest for performance driven marketing is winning over conversations in the boardroom. So where should you be investing your marketing time and dollars? In this session, we’ll unpack the business case for brand versus performance marketing for growth. We’ll look at what the balance should be, who has done it well, and strategies for measuring results. Finally, you’ll leave with some tips and tricks to prioritise the right strategy based on your individual or company goal.
